About
This training is designed for both language teachers and subject teachers who work with students in a language acquisition context or who wish to deepen content understanding through a stronger focus on language. You will learn how to structure your teaching around your students' language needs by applying practical strategies that make academic concepts more accessible, explicit, and transferable. By centering learning on language, you’ll help students better understand, articulate, and express their knowledge while developing mastery of the oral and written conventions of academic discourse. Objectives - Support teachers in adapting their approach to place greater emphasis on language, enhancing student communication and understanding while maintaining age-appropriate cognitive challenge. - Encourage teachers to stimulate student verbalization of concepts to deepen understanding and promote more meaningful learning. - Raise awareness of the importance of scaffolding academic texts to make both written and spoken content accessible to all learners, regardless of their language level. - Promote strategies that foster deeper learning by encouraging reflection and self-reflection. - Emphasize the importance of making students’ thinking and metacognition visible to support comprehension and engagement with classroom content. Join this training to strengthen your teaching practices and empower your students to demonstrate their understanding through a rich, language-based approach. Duration: 1 full day or 2 half-days Certificate: Participants who complete both sessions will receive a Certificate of Completion.
