Circle Solutions: Building the Social and Emotional Foundations Every School Needs As a school leader, you know that academic success alone is not enough. For students to learn well, behave positively, and build healthy relationships, strong social and emotional foundations are essential. UNESCO identifies four pillars of learning: Learning to Know, Learning to Do, Learning to Be, and Learning to Live Together. Schools often prioritize the first two. Circle Solutions strengthens the last two, which underpin wellbeing, resilience, inclusion, and positive relationships. This full-day training introduces your staff to Circle Solutions, a practical, research-informed framework for Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) grounded in the ASPIRE principles: Agency, Safety, Positivity, Inclusion, Respect, and Equity. These principles ensure SEL is delivered in a safe, strengths-based and relational way that supports whole-school wellbeing. Circle Solutions is not an add-on programme, but a way of working that strengthens classroom culture and learning across subjects. During the day, your teachers take part in a real Circle to experience the pedagogy firsthand. They explore why SEL is essential to mental health and learning, understand how ASPIRE shapes effective Circles, practise planning and running sessions, and discover practical activities they can use immediately. The training also builds teachers’ confidence and relational skills. By the end of the day, your teachers are equipped to implement Circle Solutions confidently across classrooms and year groups.
