This week, I had lunch with one of our InTA members, @shonawright5
We talked about a lot of things, but at one point Shona said something that stayed with me. She told me how great, and helpful, it would be if InTA could have regular Live Forums, where teachers could simply meet and talk with other teachers about the things that matter to them.
And I thought, yes, we should do this!
So, I would like to start something new:
InTA Live Forums - "Let's discuss it"
The idea is very simple.
Each Forum will focus on one topic, chosen by you, the InTA community.
There will be no presentation and no expert at the front telling us what to do.
Instead, one teacher might explain what they do. Another might have a completely different approach. Someone might share a problem they are having. Others might have ideas that could help.
We talk. We listen. We share what works, what doesn't, and hopefully we all leave with a few new ideas.
And these Live Forums will be free and open to everyone in the InTA community. I really want them to be a space where we can meet regularly, learn from each other and have the kinds of conversations that we don't always have time for during the school day.
But if these Forums are going to be useful to you, then I don't want to decide what we should talk about.
So let me ask you:
What would YOU like our first InTA Live Forum to be about?
Think about what is happening in your classroom or school right now. Is there something you are struggling with? Something you've been thinking about? Or a question you've often wanted to ask other teachers:
“What do you do when…?”
Put your ideas in the comments below 👇
Let's see where this takes us.

I'd personally like to see how education is being used for change beyond a school setting. How are at risk and marginalised youth being addressed (in school as well) out of school... Or more broadly what is offered for young people beyond school?
Having open discussions about the future of education broadly?
