Andy Harvey

Andy Harvey has worked in the field of EAL for over 20 years and was the Deputy Head of the Hounslow EAL Team. 

In his work for HLS Ltd, Andy provides Certificated EAL training such as our poplar LILAC courses (Language in Learning across the Curriculum). This year, he has delivered Conferences, Seminars and school-based Workshops across the country on a wide range of EAL issues.

He was part of the Pan London EAL strategy for the National Strategy, working with a diverse range of schools across London. Recently he was also involved in a 2-year project ‘EAL in the Mainstream Classroom’ funded by the Education Endowment Fund and the Bell Foundation, which resulted in a 3-day course for mainstream teachers focusing on developing academic literacy.   

In the last 3 years, Andy has delivered training in several universities and colleges both here and abroad. He has led training in Spain, Turkey, India, Dubai, China and Singapore and is constantly creating new materials and courses at the cutting edge of our specialist work.
