About this programme
You have explained the idea carefully, yet some students still struggle with the text, video, diagram or spoken explanation. This workshop explores the barriers that can make subject content difficult to access, including language, presentation and the demands of a particular resource. Examine practical scaffolds for written, visual and spoken materials, and consider how to maintain the intended cognitive challenge. Bring a resource from your teaching and explore how to adapt it without simplifying the thinking students are expected to do.
