Manny Vazquez

Manny Vazquez is an EAL specialist, trainer, and consultant who has worked in the field of multilingual education since 1979. With decades of experience in international and UK public education, he supports teachers and schools in finding practical ways to help learners access the curriculum while developing academic language. His work focuses on making language support realistic, sustainable, and effective in everyday classrooms.

He previously served as Head of Service before joining Hounslow Language Service Ltd., and has worked extensively with schools, local authorities, and teacher training programmes. Manny has been a visiting lecturer for MA, PGCE, and BEd courses, and has acted as an external examiner for postgraduate programmes in English language teaching.

He is a frequent speaker at international TESOL conferences and has contributed to professional journals and publications on language and content integration, EAL assessment, and inclusive classroom practice. His work has also included developing national guidance on EAL and assessment for the DfE and QCA, and contributing to the Pan London EAL Strategy in collaboration with a wide range of schools.

Alongside training and research, Manny works as a consultant and accredited trainer for LILAC and Cambridge, including contributing to the TKT CLIL test. His approach combines deep expertise with practical classroom insight, helping teachers build simple, effective routines that support beginners, reduce overload, and allow students to participate fully in learning.
