Alex Black

Alex Black is the founder of ABC-Learning, with over 37 years of teaching experience, including 30 years at an international school in Zürich. He has taught from early primary to Grade 12, specialising in IB Biology, Theory of Knowledge, and Middle Years Science. He helped develop a pioneering bilingual programme in Switzerland, providing teacher training in immersion strategies and teaching Physics in both English and German.

As a council member of the Let’s Think Forum, he has dedicated his career to cognitive acceleration and classroom-based research. He collaborates with leading science and mathematics education experts to advance higher-order thinking and continues to train teachers worldwide in evidence-based methods that successfully enhance student reasoning and academic achievement.
